ADDRESSING inequities in the black queer and trans birthing communities one offering at a time
As a Non-Binary Black person who has witnessed the many ways that the medical industrial complex systematically disregards and silences the voices of Black, queer and trans birthing people, I am committed to having a practice that addresses the inequities and harms that Black, queer and trans birthing people face in the United States. I carry the values of justice, equity, safety and anti-oppression in every aspect of my practice, affirming the lived experiences of my clients and offering support to advocate for the birthing experiences they want and deserve. I prioritize care for these communities by partnering with reproductive justice organizations to provide free-of-charge childbirth education classes for pregnant people, volunteering my doula services to underserved community members, and by accepting sliding scale and, soon - Medi-Cal clients.
